Earlier today I was googling Treyarch because I was curious what they have done besides Call of Duty. Which naturally led me to look up the next Call of Duty. I was fully expecting it to be Black Ops 3. But to my surprise the leading rumor was that the next Call of Duty would be going back to World War II.
At first I thought this was a good idea mainly because it brought back a lot of nostalgia. I was in highschool when the Medal of Honor and battlefield 1942 were popular. But the more I thought about it the less I liked the idea. It seems like going back to World War II would be a step backwards for the franchise.
If we're being honest what could you do with that setting that hasn't already been done before? Which leads me to my questions to you all, does the Call of Duty community want to see another World War II game? If so why?
