Does anyone that understand Hollywood know if firefly made Fox a lot of money by Holywood standards? Fresh fom Reddit

So firefly lasted a season, but the DVDs sold well, and it gets watched a lot on Netflix and Amazon. Serenity aparently came close to breaking even in the box office minus promotion costs, but made 9 million in DVD sales as of 2006-01-15 (as per wikipedia). I assume that conventions have to pay Fox some sort of licensing costs.

So I have a two part question. First , does anyone have a good number of my much the firefly Franchise has made fox in total, and its year over year performance. Secondly, does anyone know what hollywood would consider a money maker? Obviously Firefly is not a runaway hit, but it seems like a franchise that bringins in a sizable trickle of residual income.
