1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2-14
The Pick: Jameis Winston, QB FSU Easy pick that would hopefully give TB a true franchise QB. Best talent in the draft.
2. Tennessee Titans 2-14
The Pick: Leonard Williams, DL USC Mettenberger is gonna get one more year to prove himself. Meanwhile, the Titans use this handy dandy 2nd overall pick to take a franchise centerpiece on defense.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars 3-13
The Pick: Randy Gregory, EDGE Nebraska JAX desperately needs pass rushers. They decide to go out on a limb and take a raw but very talented edge rusher.
4. Oakland Raiders 3-13
The Pick: Kevin White, WR WVU Derek Carr had a pleasant surprise of a rookie season. Oakland takes a big, fast target for Carr to throw to.
5. Washington Redskins 4-12
The Pick: Brandon Scherff In some places, Scherff was a preseason #1 overall pick. Washington takes an Offensive Lineman who you seemingly can't go wrong with.
6. New York Jets 4-12
The Pick: Marcus Mariota, QB Oregon The Jets jump at the chance to take a former Heisman winner and they hope to final get a franchise QB.
7. Chicago Bears 5-11
The Pick: Danny Shelton, DL Washington Last season proved that Chicago has more weaknesses than they thought they did. Here the Bears take an exciting DLineman who progressed as the season went on.
8. Atlanta Falcons 6-10
The Pick: Shane Ray, EDGE Mizzou Everyone knows ATL needs pass rushers. And this IS the supposed 'Year of the Pass-Rusher'. Mizzou has churned out tons of pass rushers in the past few years and Atlanta takes the best one yet.
9. New York Giants 6-10
The Pick: Shaq Thompson, OLB/S/ILB/RB/EDGE/CB Wash. I love this pick and I love Shaq Thompson. I can already see him flying around making big hits in blue and grey. Shaq goes to the only place in the NFL where he's only the 2nd most freakish athlete on his team.
10. St. Louis Rams 6-10
The Pick: Andrus Peat, OL Stanford Just like Mizzou turns pass rushers into NFL players, Stanford turns young offensive linemen into solid starters. St. Louis hopes Peat can lock down a spot on the O Line for years to come.
11. Minnesota Vikings 7-9
The Pick: DeVante Parker, WR Louisville Ok fine, maybe Minny would rather take Amari Cooper here. But how can you resist pairing up two High School AND College teammates? Teddy and Devante have unreal chemistry and it will be scary.
12. Cleveland Browns 7-9
The Pick: Amari Cooper, WR Bama The Browns are quite surprised to see Amari still on the board at #12 and waste no time sending in their pick, sending it to the podium in .6 seconds, a new NFL record. If there is any hope for Johnny Alcohol to become a legit QB, its with a receiver like Cooper.
13. New Orleans Saints 7-9
The Pick: Dante Fowler, EDGE Florida New Orleans has a rare opportunity to take a top 5 talent in the middle of the first round. Fowler is a scary athlete who can be mentored by veterans on the New Orleans defense.
14. Miami Dolphins 8-8
The Pick: Vic Beasley, OLB Clemson The Miami linebacker situation is a bit messy, and what a better way to solve it than take a guy who can play multiple positions as a LB?
15. San Francisco 49ers 8-8
The Pick: Dorial Green-Beckham, WR Mizzou(?) San Fran needs receivers and they take a HUGE chance on a guy early in the draft. Dorial shows how much potential he has at the combine and San Francisco decides to take a chance.
16. Houston Texans 9-7
The Pick: TJ Clemmings, OT Pitt Again, not too many good receivers left. I thought about putting Jaelen Strong here, but I figured Houston could use a talented young OT to pair with Duane Brown.
17. San Diego Chargers 9-7
The Pick: La'el Collins, OL LSU The Chargers had MAJOR offensive line issues last year. Easy pick. 18. Kansas City Chiefs 9-7
The Pick: Eric Kendricks, ILB UCLA Think about it. Alex Smith isn't gonna throw the football unless his receiver is aleast 10 yards away from the nearest defensive back. One thing Jaelen Strong lacks is his ability to get separation. Look at that and the fact that their favorite OL guy just got chosen, the Chiefs decide to prepare for life after Derrick Johnson.
19. Cleveland Browns (from Buffalo) 7-9
The Pick: Ereck Flowers, OT, The U Cleveland could surely use some depth on the line. Flowers is an intriguing prospect who flashed tons of potential.
20. Philadelphia Eagles 10-6
The Pick: Trae Waynes, CB MSU Easy pick. Philly fills a desperate need with a good player.
21. Cincinnati Bengals 10-5-1
The Pick: Eddie Goldman, DL FSU Without many glaring weaknesses, Cincy decides to get a scary DLineman to put with Geno Atkins.
22. Pittsburgh Steelers 11-5
The Pick: Bud Dupree, EDGE UK Steelers fans are scared wondering how they are going to get the pass rusher they desperately need so late in the first round. Bud Dupree falls much farther than anticipated, and Pittsburgh catches him to end the free fall.
23. Detroit Lions 11-5
The Pick: Marcus Peters, CB Wash. Rashean Mathis has been quite good recently. But we have to remember he is now in his thirties. Marcus Peters kills his interview and Detroit confidently sends in this pick.
24. Arizona Cardinals 11-5
The Pick: Melvin Gordon, RB Wisc Finally! A running back in round one! Melvin has been compared to Jamaal Charles and he was completely unstoppable at Wisconsin.
25. Carolina Panthers 7-8-1
The Pick: Phillip Dorsett, WR The U Put down your pitchforks, Panthers fans. Think about it. Phillip Dorsett kills the combine, runs a 4.26. Shoots up draft boards. This gets teams curious and they look at his tape to see that he has soft hands and runs sharp routes, making him the perfect compliment to Kelvin Benjamin.
26. Baltimore Ravens 10-6
The Pick: Landon Collins, S Bama Matt Elam and Landon Collins on the field at the same time? I'm having nightmares already. Baltimore takes another step in rebuilding that hard hitting defense.
27. Dallas Cowboys 12-4
The Pick: Arik Armstead, DL Oregon I can't really explain this pick but it just seems right. Dallas could use some depth on the D Line and Armstead is an absolute freak. I would love to see him with a star on his helmet.
28. Denver Broncos 12-4
The Pick: Bernardrick McKinney, ILB Miss. St. Denver's defense could use some youth. McKinney is the definition of a thumper and has been compared to Patrick Willis. Yes please.
29. Indianapolis Colts 11-5
The Pick: Malcolm Brown, DT Texas Indy has few glaring holes and adds a solid piece on defense.
30. Green Bay Packers 12-4
The Pick: Cedric Ogbuehi, OL TAMU Bulaga is hit with the franchise tag and people are skeptical about his future in Green Bay. The Packers scrable and grab a high risk-high reward player.
31. Seattle Seahawks 12-4
The Pick: Todd Gurley, RB UGA Lynch is still debating retirement and it is making the Seahawks worried. At the end of the first round they grab another big and terrifying RB who will make an instant impact.
32. New England Patriots 12-4
The Pick: Devin Funchess, WR/TE Michigan Remember the days when Aaron Hernandez and Gronk were on the same team? Remember how scary the Patriots were in the red zone? Belichick certainly does and he takes a big receiver to try to recreate that.
Any criticism and feedback is appreciated. Sorry if I was a little vague on the reasoning for your team I didn't do too much research I just put players where I thought they would fit well. Thanks for reading :)
