Please help with my tax situation Fresh fom Reddit

Hi All,

I have been searching the internet and asking friends for help, but none have been able to help. I have failed businesses and I'm unable to financially seek professional help as I'm barely surviving. I'm desperately seeking help. I have two major issues and I don't know how to deal with them. Please, if anyone could help, I'd be most grateful to all of you. I'm located in California.

1) Nevada LLC Issue

• started in 2013 as a Multi-member LLC


• operated in Nevada


• two members 50/50 on everything


• opened business bank account


• No profits in 2013 or 2014


• Had some expenses (very little, under $200-$300)


• File tax return 1120S for 2013


• Neither of us ever filed anything regarding this LLC with our personal tax returns (Schedule E? Schedule K-1?)


• dissolved in 2014


• Closed business bank account


• Will file 1120S for 2014 soon

Are we suppose to file something with our personal for 2013? If so, what exactly do I need to file and how do I file it since it's for 2013? I plan to do the same with 2014 return. What else am I responsible for and how do I find out what I'm responsible for?

2) California LLC Issue

• started in 2011 as a Multi-member LLC (I didn't know this LLC was actually filed and active until very recently)


• operated in California (although nothing was ever done with the company)


• two members, 50/50 on everything


• never opened bank account


• no profits at all


• no expenses at all


• $800 franchise tax board was paid once for 2011 by other member


• never filed any tax return as far as I know


• neither of us ever filed anything regarding this LLC with our personal tax returns


• the other member is in the process of dissolving/canceling this LLC

What are my responsibilities for this LLC? How do I go about finding what I need to do.

I would like to get everything straightened out and ensure I comply with all the laws and regulations. Let me know if you need additional information. Please tell me what I need to do or how I can find out more about what I need to do. Thank you everyone so much!
