What do you want to see in the Assassin's Creed movie, and what would you want to see if it became a film franchise? Fresh fom Reddit

Here's what I want to see a potential Assassin's Creed film franchise do:

  • Explore eras and locations that don't lend themselves very well to the video game format. Specifically, for me, I want to see an Assassin's Creed World War II action drama, because I love that era, and my dad is a WWII-focused historian, so it would be an interesting way to get him interested in the series, perhaps.

  • Utilize the talents of actors from the locations they go to. I'd like to see Fassbender and Cotillard pretty much stay in the Modern Day storyline, while filling the historical story with actors of the proper ethnicity; or even further than that, actors specific to the movie industry of the country portrayed in the film. Imagine a joint production between Hollywood and Bollywood, with major Indian actors portraying the historical characters. (And no, this doesn't mean I want musical numbers in my Assassin's Creed. Don't be silly.)

  • Some tie-in to the games. I don't want AC2016 to be set in the same location as the movie, and I don't want the movie to base it's storyline on any of the existing games in the franchise. But I do think the movie should contain references to the games and vice-versa beyond the overarching plot of 'Templarstergo fights Assassins and they're all looking for magical macguffins through genetic memory.'
