Am I alone [banned from r/games] Fresh fom Reddit

Preface: I have loved video games for many years -- over 20, not quite 30. My first console was an Atari 2600. I have watched Nintendo, Sega, Sony, the internet explode/interject/assimilate many of my favorite franchises. But -- I will keep it simple. The internet seems hell-bent on making me hate everything. Nothing is good enough. Everything is too casualized, not 60 fps, too much … whatever. Insert the current outrage term. All I wanted was to find people that loved the same things I did. But that’s not the people here. That’s not the people at NeoGaf. That’s not the people on any forum. All these people do is hate on almost everything. And the hardest part is it that it’s couched as “constructive”. I have no problem being wrong, but I do not believe this. The vitriol aimed at seemingly random titles, the inability to like anything, or the almost instantaneous switch from love to hate, just baffles me. Why does everyone love to hate so much? And don’t lie and say it’s in some interest to make things better. Because it’s glaringly obvious telling one from the other.
